Helping Clinicians Build Confidence in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

When I began practicing orofacial myofunctional therapy in 2012, finding reliable education wasn’t easy. There were few resources, limited guidance, and plenty of trial and error.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve gone from not having enough information to having too much. Between social media, online forums, and countless opinions, it can be difficult to know where to start—or what to trust.

That’s when I created my online courses.

My mission is simple: make orofacial myofunctional therapy approachable, practical, and evidence-informed so healthcare professionals can build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

I believe learning shouldn’t feel overwhelming. It should feel empowering.

Turning Complex Concepts into Practical Knowledge

One of my favorite parts of teaching is taking complex topics and breaking them down into what I like to call “Lehman’s Terms.” (Yes, the pun is absolutely intended.)

Whether I’m teaching online, presenting at conferences, or speaking to interdisciplinary healthcare teams, my goal is always the same: provide practical education that clinicians can immediately apply in practice.

No unnecessary jargon. No information overload. Just clear, engaging education designed to help you connect the dots between oral function, breathing, airway health, facial development, and overall wellness.

My Journey

I earned my degree in Dental Hygiene from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1999 and discovered my passion for orofacial myofunctional therapy years later.

Since beginning my myofunctional therapy practice in 2012, I’ve dedicated my career to helping patients and educating fellow clinicians about the importance of oral function and its impact on overall health.

In 2014, I became certified through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Today, I’m proud to serve as the owner of Oral Myofunctional Therapy of York, where I continue treating patients while developing educational programs for healthcare professionals around the world.

Areas of Expertise

My clinical and educational focus includes:

  • Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
  • Oral Rest Posture
  • Tongue Thrust Correction
  • Sucking Habit Elimination
  • Tongue and Lip Tie Considerations
  • Airway Health
  • Clinical Photography
  • Interdisciplinary Patient Care

Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated closely with dentists, orthodontists, speech-language pathologists, ENTs, lactation consultants, occupational therapists, and many other healthcare professionals who share a passion for improving patient care through collaboration.

Beyond the Therapy

Education has become one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

I’ve had the privilege of presenting at national conferences, international events, and professional organizations, sharing practical, evidence-informed education with clinicians across the globe.

Whether I’m teaching an online course or speaking from the stage, my goal is always the same: help clinicians feel more confident, more capable, and more excited about the impact they can make.

Why I Do This

At the heart of everything I do is one belief:

Treat the cause—not just the symptom.

Orofacial myofunctional therapy has the power to change lives, and I believe every clinician deserves access to practical education that helps them better understand the “why” behind what they do.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by all the information available, you’re in the right place.
Let’s simplify it together.
